On October 19, 2014 from 2 - 6 PM, join us at the farm for our end-of-season Harvest Festival and Volunteer Appreciation.

Schedule

2:00 - 4:00 PM - Pumpkin Carving
                           ($15 - reserve your pumpkin in advance, limited numbers available!)
                           Shed Mural Painting with E4C's ArtStart.
                           Roving Entertainment - Razzle, clown and entertainer, will be joining in our fun!
                           Produce Stand - buy fresh farm veggies and dried herbs and tea

3:30 - 5:00 PM - Fire-side snacking and hot beverages (limited quantities available!)

4:00 - 5:30/6:00 PM - Live music!

Shuttle Service

We will be offering free shuttle service from 1:45 - 2:15 PM at the beginning of the event, halfway through at 3:30 PM and at the end around 5:30 PM between the LRT South Campus Station and Prairie Urban Farm.

Farm volunteers will be at the South Campus LRT Station between 1:45 - 2:15 PM to help bring you from the station to the shuttle van.

Parking

There is lots of parking available at the farm. When you arrive, park on 118 Street on the west side of the road (the side closer to the farm). Alternatively, there is a large compost pile across the road from the farm which has additional parking space.

The event is free of charge and open to everyone - bring your friends and family! Please RSVP by emailing Nicole at nbmartin@ualberta.ca so that we can get an idea of how many people we have.

Please note that paying for pumpkin carving, hot beverages, snacks, or veggies from the farm stand are with CASH ONLY. There are no ATM's close by so if you would like to purchase anything at the festival please make sure to have cash on hand!
