Our Story

Prairie Urban Farm is a one-acre, mixed crop, community food system in the University of Alberta's South Campus.

We believe that the lack of resilience of our agri-food systems is one of the biggest challenges facing our communities today. Our goals are to demonstrate and provide skill-building opportunities in alternative, regenerative ways of growing food within the city and to grow food security: access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food.

If you would like to know more about our project or be involved in anyway, send us a message! We are always looking for more people to come out to the farm, learn about growing food, and be involved in anyway they can.

Note - We do not sell compost to the general public.
